Saint Emilion - The medieval wine city that is the jewel in the crown of the region. Castillion la Bataille - Historic town situated on the banks of the Dordogne with a street market every Monday morning. Villefranche-de-Lonchat - A pretty man made beach complex 15kms away. (see photo below) Dune de Playa - the gorgeous Dune de Playa Local Wine Cellar - the ancient, wine cellars nearby Wine Tasting - Local Chateau owner samples the local wine Ste. Foy-la-Grande - Has a colourful street market every Saturday. Domme - A mountain village on the Dordogne River. Sarlat - The superb golden medieval city with its nearby world famous Neolithic remains and cave paintings at Lascaux. Bergerac - A historic town approximately 55kms away. Arcachon - Sandy beaches and Europe's largest sand dunes at Pyla. Bordeaux - This cosmopolitan city is approximately 40 minutes away. Cap Ferret - Famous for its scrumptious seafood and oyster beds.
